Buddy
Spent the morning at Iroquois Park with the family for a nature walk. Ran into a very nice and knowledgeable old man named Buddy. He pointed out many plants and bugs and had such a child-like wonder about it all that it was contagious. We’d hear a call from down the path, “Praying Mantis!” And then my kids would call to him, “Monarch caterpillar!” He told us he came there everyday and had probably walked 10,000 miles there in his life.

Family walk. Cold breeze off the Ohio River, but the blue sky was really cheering after some cold, grey days.

Yew Dell
We took an afternoon family walk and explore at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens this afternoon for my wife’s birthday. So nice to be in the woods. Such an interesting place.

Family Walk
It’s a little warmer than average for late December, so we took a family walk down over the Ohio River on the pedestrian bridge. Christmas colors and the city in the near distance.
